Cute but very small park to take in the view of Providence. Trees block some views. Parking is not super easy to find by doable.

This is a small park but wow the views are amazing. We took many pictures and got to see the statue of Roger Williams whose ashes are buried under the statue.

The history and views were amazing. This is off the beaten path and very underutilized by the masses while we were there. A great view of the city and plaques to tell you what you are looking at. We enjoyed our time here.

During Covid we ordered from chipotle and asked the staff where we could eat because it was takeout only. They told us to head over prospect park and we are so glad we did. This has a view of the whole providence and it’s a nice and romantic spot. We had the place to ourselves since we came for lunch in the middle of the summer heat!

Located in College Hill, this small park offers great views of the city. A 35 foot stone statue of Roger Williams is also here commemorating him as founder of the state of Rhode Island. If you visit at sunset, you get to see a wonderful panoramic view of Providence. Bring a picnic.

I thoroughly enjoyed the elevated view offered by this small park that overlooks the city. The view of the state house in particular was impressive. Well worth the time and effort involved in making the short walk from my downtown hotel.

Seeing the city skyline was cool. You could see everything from there in the Federal District. Nice small park for a picnic.

The views of Providence (and especially the State House) were stunning. The statue of Roger Williams was impressive. The only down side (no pun intended) is that it is a small park. Well worth a visit.

If there is a better more commanding view over Providence, please share it with me. With a backdrop of a natural park, Prospect Terrace holds court at sunset for those who wish to view Providence at its golden best. But don't hesitate to return in the morning, preferably before 10:30 so you can see what the morning sun does to the skyline. One of the most best vantage points in which to view the city in all its splendor.

This lovely park was part of a self-guided walking tour of College Hill I attempted that I found and I highly recommend it!

Prospect Terrace is a peaceful, green haven with panoramic hilltop views of all of Providence! It was fantastic! There’s tons of benches, a lovely memorial statue to the founder of Providence and some informative plaques scattered around the grounds. One of the plaques even points out what buildings you’ll see in the skyline! And you get a magnificent view of the capital building!

It’s in a residential area near Brown University which is lovely in and of itself. Highly recommend!
