I took my 12 year old nephews up the tram. I was disappointed, I could have hiked up the hill and in my opinion it just wasn't worth the time or money to take the tram. Better to go on a pretty walk for views, like Lily Lake.

The Aerial Tramway is a family-owned business that is another Estes Park icon. Great for kids of all ages, the gondola trip to the top of Prospect Mountain is fun if a bit harrowing, and ends among rocks and trees anchored by a gift shop.

The tram has AWESOME views of RMNP & Estes Park. Make sure to keep an eye out for animals on the hillside on your way up/down. Boulder climbing on top is GREAT for kids & adults alike. Had a hard time getting my nieces to come down, they were having so much fun!!

Long line but wonderful staff. Go early. Our favorite was the chip muck and the coffee shop at the top. A must see.

Great views on top of mountain. The chipmunks are giant. They aren't friendly like they are in town but kids enjoyed feeding them.

Location is easy to find right off the main road. Currently closed for the season. We were hoping to ride up the mountain for the view. Sadly, closed for the season. Trail Ridge Road was also closed for the season. Maybe too much snow in March. This is what the mountains looked like so... too much snow currently.

This gives you great views of the Estes Park Valley and the mountains. Don't expect there to be anything to do at the top. You're doing this for the pure enjoyment of the ride and the scenery. I thought it was quite fun, there aren't many of these left in the world.

We love Rocky Mountain national park. We have been there a couple of times, but there are no, and I mean no nice RV parks in which to stay. Most of them are dusty and not well kept, however they are all pricey. We rode the tram up and down the mountain while there. It was fun for one time.... More

We were actually there last July with our kids who live in Florida. It was really quite a disappointment, especially at the top. We had to wait in line coming and going for around 45 minutes to catch the tram and with a 2 year old, that wasn't easy. They stuff probably 10-12 people in the little tram cars and... More

We took the tram with some out of town friends and really enjoyed it. The line can get long but it's worth it. The ride to the top is very scenic. At the top theirs a gift shop and coffee shop. It's nice just to walk around and see the views. It can get cold and windy so plan accordingly.... More
