Took the byway on the way back to Denver after a day in the National Park. The drive was easy and the south end of the park puts you right onto it! Just wish we had hit it a little early to drive the entire route back to Denver before the sun went down. Didn't see too much after sunset... More

If you want to go up to the top, DONT go until after May! I have changed our reservations three times and still haven't been able to go all the way up!

Other than the first several miles out of Golden, the road was pretty empty which made for ideal sightseeing. One warning: from Golden to Blackhawk it wa bumper to bumper with what turned out to be casino traffic. As you'd expect from roads that are snowy a lot of the year, they weren't great. But the views were spectacular. It... More

This is a very scenic ride once you leave Rocky Mountain NP. It was slow due to a lot of traffic, but worth it.

A beautiful awe inspiring ride on the Peak to Peak Byway with moose, elk, mountain goats, big horn sheep right out your windows. The snow capped wilderness and the lack of crowds made the trip even more enjoyable. Keep your camera ready! The views and the ever changing landscape was perfect. I only wish I could have spent another few... More

Beautiful scenery (especially at the Estes Park end). Be sure to stop by St. Catherine's chapel. Beautiful even with the flood issues.

The views were amazing. Snow capped majestic mountains in April, while we took photos, enjoyed the scenery wearing short sleeve shirts. Stop, stare and share!

Beautiful drive, especially in the autumn season! Nederland is a cute hippie town along the way and very quaint. I great place to stop for a bite. Estes Park & RMNP on one end and a cute mountain gambling town on the other....How can you go wrong?

This was an excellent drive from Central City/Black Hawk area to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Not quite as beautiful as a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, but then again it was still the tail end of winter when I drove through (April). I would recommend the detour for anyone coming from Denver to RMNP.
