in early June it was cold and windy. We did walk on beach and had lovely views. lots of pull overs along hwy so you can get to a beach if this on too crowded.

The beach was close to our motel. It was rainy and chilly that day but the beauty of the ocean and shore with large rock was great.

Our dogs loved running on the sand chasing the surf. There was a stingray (deceased) that had washed ashore. Lots of beach area to walk and throw frisbees. Did not feel overcrowded with people/dogs.

Good enough. I am sure there are "better" beaches, but this was fine for aquick dose of ocean. Lots of room for walking the beach.

This beach is located just south of Crescent City. It's several miles long with lots of access points. Easy to get to and play in the Pacific Ocean!

4 generations of family visits to crescent city and crescent beach. Every year we come several times a year. Long beach that is full of potential for fun.

Are there many tide pools?

Not at this particular stretch of beach, but if you go just a mile or two north ots of tide pools can be found. Check out Cape St. George, just a little bit farther up 101 (maybe 1-2 miles)
