Lighthouse is an island most of the time. We never thought the ocean would recede so much that we could walk across the path.

We have been here a few times but never crossed over to the lighthouse. Only admired the lighthouse with the water between us. This day finally came when we were in town in August. We couldn't believe our luck as it was low tide when...More

Fun lighthouse to visit. Must go at low tide tho. Interesting that there's still a lighthouse keeper who lives on site. Reasonably priced at only $5.00.

It's a nice place to stop, accessible when the tide isn't obstructing things. Views are good, and some guided signs give historical background and detail the renovation. The actual lighthouse itself is quite small, making for a quick visit when they're doing tours.

This is a hike through the tidelands. You must be very careful walking beyond the sand and over rocks. It is not for the infirm I guess some would say. There are plenty of pictures from others to view. It is a pretty neat small...More

We came here from Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park where we were camping. Fortunately we timed it right and it was low tide so we were able to walk across the tide pools all the way up to the lighthouse. It was a stunning day...More

Be sure to check out the opening times on the board as you can only visit tide dependant. Wear sensible shoes as you walk over stones, not like me with my sandals as I had to keep stopping to shake the stones out. The lighthouse...More

The best way to get to Battery Point Lighthouse is during low tide. If you were looking to go to tour the Lighthouse, it would be during the summer time. You could call and ask the Museum on H street. To get more information.

In the off months it is only weekends and tide permitting. Peak seasons are 7 days a week put still tide permitting.
