This Tri-Centennial Park is right next to the Albuquerque Museum. The is a playground, basketball court as well as workout equipment. In the evenings you will see many families and lots of dogs. It is a nice place to walk in the heat when you need some shade. It is small, but there is a number of winding paths.

Tiguex Park is conveniently located within walking distance of the historic Old Town Plaza in Albuquerque and several popular museums such as the Albuquerque Museum, Explora children's museum and the Natural History Museum to name a few.
We actually met clients for an outdoor photography session on a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon here. The park was full of families having picnics, people walking their dogs, a couple of BBQs, kids' birthday parties, and even a large wedding party who also came to the park for outdoor photos. There were also a few individuals who were working out on the outdoor gym equipment stations, and there is a small event platform which looks like it can accommodate smaller concert venues. And of course there were many park benches, picnic tables, large trees, and lots of green grass. The huge playground area was filled with kids of all ages. The park was well groomed and maintained.
After we finished our outdoor photo session, we simply walked next door to the historic Old Town Plaza, which was humming with activity and a salsa-tasting event. People were also strolling from Tiguex Park in and out of the nearby museums. Parking is free around the park and at the museums.
What a great place to spend an afternoon, for business or pleasure!

My wife and I really enjoy walking and we we glad to discover a little gem like this so close to Old Town. It looks as if it is treasured by the community.

Right across from the Natural History Museum and a short walk to Old Town, this is a delightful and well-kept park to stroll, run and enjoy.
The “Tricentennial” Park (1706-2006) is just large enough with an emphasis here to walk, work-out and have the kids run around. The grass is extremely green here and is inviting. You could easily picnic with all the benches in the park.
There is a play area for children. We even saw an adult on one of the swings!
We also noticed that there is free parking along the street that can save you $5 dollars. If you have time, this is a nice place to walk through on your way to or from the Natural History Museum and Old Town.

The Tiguex Park is beautiful, relaxing, and close to the Old Town Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Museum, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, and
the, New Mexico Veterans Memorial Museum & Conference Center..
The Park includes the inner Loop, 3 miles, paved (accessible to all users including wheelchairs, The Outer Loop is 5 miles, paved and is also (accessible to all
users including wheelchairs). There are play areas, basketball courts, grass fields,
and picnic tables.
Bring camera, (water and snack), unless you plan on dining in the Old Town Albuquerque.

We enjoy having gathering at Tiguex Park because it has swings for small children and a big open field for the bigger kids to play games and tables for the adults to enjoy good conversations.

A nice park in Old Town. When we were there there was a musician entertaining those in the area. Others were there hanging out and cooking. A pleasant place to hang out.
