I spend so much time here that I've considered finding a place to live nearby. With music, theatre, festivals, art, lectures, and so much more, it is a special place. The staff and volunteers are so very friendly that I feel welcome whenever I go. Out of town visitors can learn much about Albuquerque's culture here.

This is the second time I have been here, and memory served me well: this is an outstanding collection of contemporary Hispanic art. For the life of me, I cannot understand why there are so few people in attendance -- other than the lack of publicity. we come form the Bay Area of San francisco and have really fine museums... The campus of the NHCC offers theatres, galleries, a good restaurant, and meeting places. It is architecturally impressive. , All is geared to an expansive and inclusive view of the world. One fine example of this is the annual Globalquerque festival of world music.

I usually visit the National Hispanic Cultural Center a couple of times a year. They have several events a year but usually have programs for kids to participate in.

The Torreon is EXCELLENT. The docent in the watch tower was excellent. I totally appreciate it when a docent says "i don't know"...rather than fake it. The complex is in desperate need of a sign that says ENTER HERE....we walked almost the entire campus before finding someone to tell us where the main door was located. Even at the main... More

We were here on a Friday afternoon and viewed the art gallery. The people were friendly and helpful and the art, particularly in the featured display was incredible.

They have a website stating their events. Nice place. I especially enjoy going and hanging out at the new sculpture "Warrior's Repose" by Jacob Sisneros. A place to reflect. Also, they work with the community for events. I went to La Llorna with ABQ High School and Anaya's writing of the play. Good stuff!

M'tucci's Cocina at the National Hispanic Cultural Center is now open on Fridays for lunch and dinner (11 am - 8 pm). They are serving buffet style meals and the restaurant has a full bar license but not great selection of wines. It is so convenient to be able there before a show and the price was very reasonable.
