This is a beautiful campus, which we were drawn to by the Duck Pond (which also had numerous turtles). The pond has a waterfall, fountains and a footbridge, all being fun backdrops for casual portrait photography, and just a good place to hang out and relax. It's like an oasis in the middle of the city. There are bronze sculptures... More

I take a Summer course here as an elder. Most people seem to love this school / University . The parking is wacky , people get towed and ticketed . The courses of study seem just awesome . This place has a lot to offer Native students . Many courses in Hispanic studies and Spanish language . They have many... More

UNM has several campuses, even within ALB, and several museums open to the public. Architecture is Pueblo Revival and the landscaping is as educational as it is lovely. We visited a couple museums but our favorite was the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology on Redondo Drive. It has wonderful archeological displays of the human history of the Southwest: Beautiful pottery, tools,... More

We toured UNM for a potential entering Freshman. The tour included admissions, academics, athletics and student life. Part of the tour was led by UNM staff. The woman who gave that part of the tour was so enthusiastic about UNM, I wanted to stay and sign up for classes myself. The discussion was very thorough about what being a UNM... More

We toured the campus after visiting the UNM Center for Southwest Research. The grounds are really beautiful and much larger than we expected.

Attended a Basketball Game at Wise Pies Arena... The Pit... and was COMPLETLEY entertained. Entering the area, parking, and getting into the venue was all pretty easy. Thanks for A Great Night.

The campus is beautiful and people are always friendly. Everything is open to the public (duck pond, free museums, etc). The only downside is that parking isn't free and even paid parking is hard to find. I suggest parking in the Yale parking garage (it always has a few open spaces). It's an easy place to visit to kill some... More

Parking can be an issue, except on weekends perhaps, but it is definitely worth a stroll around campus. Could or should combine with an evening at Popejoy Hall where many excellent arts and performances are offered with a full year round venue.

My son is looking at UNM for grad school; his older brother attended UNM years ago. We just toured the campus again and I had forgotten how remarkable it is. Extremely integrated pueblo style with facinating ground-level and elevated walkways. Good school as well. Worth a trip just to roam the campus and sit by the duck pond.
