The two main permanent exhibits at this comprehensive museum are "Common Ground: Art in New Mexico" and "Only in Albuquerque: History Gallery." Both are beautifully presented. The art section mixes up chronology and ethnicities: Pueblo art is displayed next to Hispanic portraits and Taos paintings,...More

I'm always impressed when I visit the Albuquerque Museum, which isn't as often as I'd like, given I live less than 2 miles away! Great permanent collection, and wonderfully impressive traveling exhibits. The sculpture garden is a lovely thing to behold as well.

We love, when we travel , to go to museums. This one is a gem. Interesting objects with insightful explanations. It is right around the corner from the Old Town section and, as seniors, we paid only $2.00 each.

I love the exhibits here. Along with a lovely sculpture garden this place is the best museum in the city if you are an art lover. The exhibits are great and they do an excellent job of rotating them. Good representation of New Mexican art.

This is a combo of art and ABQ/NM history. A great story that you can see brought into the here and now of current residents. The meeting of cultures is evidently displayed from the Native American, Spanish, Mexican, Anglo, African American, and others. I really...More
