There was a park ranger that had worked here many Years who told us stories about this place. It was built by the CCC during the Great Depression. In the HeyDay of Route 66 it was a Harvey House.

This was great to see as part of the drive through the petrified forest and painted desert. Take the time to stop and see what it used to be like. Won't take too much of your time.
