You cannot see the beauty of the windows without a tour. They do a fantastic job with the tour, even though, apparently, tour guides are not paid because Petersburg is almost bankrupt. They do a great jog on the tours.

The stained glass windows--wow! Absolutely beautiful. Definately worth a detour to see the glass and hear the story of the church. The cemetery is pretty cool as well.

Walked through with family that lives in the area. The church was closed, so a little sad we couldn't take a tour. This place is huge. Super interesting just to stroll and read head stones. If you decide to walk through, I suggest good shoes...More

There is visitor center walking distance from the church and cemetery. The church is accessible for your mom and there are pews inside if she needs to sit down. I am not sure of the schedule of tours though. Church tour... More
