We stopped here on a drive to Florida. It was a great stop. The rangers were very informative and we learned so much about the siege that ultimately ended the Civil War. There is a driving tour as well.

You should give yourself at least 4 to 5 hours to be able to get a good view through the park. I would try to be out of the park by 5 pm.
