The building alone is worth the visit. The history exhibited in the building was well done. Learned so much, better understanding of the RGV and its people.

Love that the museum has all different types of events that involves everyone. During these events it involved different types of activities that help promote the local culture. The museum invites schools to have field trips so the students learn of all the local culture.

I don't feel it have as broad of an overview of Brownsville history as the Stillman House, but it was still informative and had its own draw with the locomotive on display, which was pretty cool. The Spanish Revival architecture was also worth checking out....More

The history in the Rio Grande Valley as absolutely amazing and Brownsville was a big part of it. It is time well spent and entertaining as well.

This is a small museum with a variety of artifacts. We enjoyed the information about life in Brownsville and how the area was settled. There is also a beautifully restored locomotive that was fun to see. The lady at the front desk was very helpful...More

The building is worth the visit. The architecture has been preserved and is restored beautifully. Visit the creepy bedroom, the old wood burning train engine, and relive the battlefield at Palo Alto.
