This park is a treat to just drive thru or stay longer. Well maintained and its what you make it. A great place for a gathering or a peaceful getaway.

We have used this park for family and couple fun for decades. It's a wonderful area to frequent that is open from sun-up until sun down. The Nueces River runs through it. It comes with places for birding (it's a great park for hawk watching, among many other species of birds), walking/hiking, and picnicking. The park has quite a few... More

Nice park that has been there for years. A couple of handicap accessible bird watching areas have been added recently. I do wish they would spend some money on rock and put a driveway to some of the picnic tables along the river instead of muddy ruts. But again, the decks are nicely done and accessible to those with handicap.

A few too many morons tearing around off the paved road in their trucks, but I suspect mid-week visits would have fewer problems with that. Really excellent wildlife viewing!

Great park for getting away from it all while still a mile or two from stores, restaurants and other amenities. There is a deck where bird watchers can view the many species that fly through on their way south in the fall and north in the spring.

I love Hazel Bazemore Park and have been going there for years. It's very quiet, pretty and out of the way.

Fishing is great. Watch for snakes in water. Bathroom facilities require driving to them, nice pavilion area. Lots of picnic tables throughout but not right on water. Bird observation deck is great. wildlife is nice. We have even seen a few deer. Does get muddy if it rains. Great area to bike. Roads are paved. Closes at 9pm.
