I came with my new family in 2009, and it relived my younger years in the 1970's as I surfed. It got me back to it and I surf again!!

This museum is located right next to few of the best restaurants in town, so if you are going to eat there you might as well make a pit stop at the Texas Surf Museum. If features photos and artifacts of the local surf culture.

Although small, the Texas Surf Museum gives a good chronology of surfing in Texas. It is interesting to non surfers as well since it also chronicles the hurricanes that bring the big waves.

You would never guess that there is a museum dedicated to surfers in Texas but here it is! Lots of old boards, news clippings, posters, photos, films, and memorabilia. The gift shop has some cool tshirts and old posters as well.
