It's been a couple of years since we last visited Malaquite. The quality of the water and beach has not changed. It's still exceptionally beautiful, partially secluded and lovely warm waves in the summer. Another beautiful beach vacation capped by multiple sea turtle sitings and...More

This is a family-oriented beach in the Padre Island National Seashore. Don't get alarmed if you seem to be driving into nowhere - follow the signs from Park Road 22 and you will get there. I suspect it's not as highly used as other beach...More

Little bit further out but totally worth the drive. Showers were really nice for after a day at the beach.

A lovely quiet stretch of beach not very used by the tourists. It is a bit of a drive to arrive there but well worth it. There is a small store with information and souvenirs, a change room with showers, and Park Rangers who are...More

GPS came up with wrong location initially so check the map/website.....it is very easy to get there ... minimal visitors, a little walk from parking to the beach

This was our first time at this beach. It's a pet friendly beach which is important when part of your traveling party is cute and four-legged. The beach is kept clean and actually saw a park ranger cleaning the beach. The beach is shallow for...More

I took my daughter and her family to watch a baby Turtle release. They drove down from East TN. They were thrilled and it will be an experience they will never forget!

Very secluded beach, good parking, bathrooms, snack/ gift shop. Great if you want to get away from the crowded local beaches, and also great for long walks along the water.

This is a great beach to visit when you're in the area, especially during the week when it's not too crowded. It's serene and peaceful with very nice facilities. It's well maintained by the NPS staff.

Easy to walk to the beach. Great visitors centre. Lots of families having fun? Watch out for small jellyfish in water. Gentle waves, great for children.

Certainly...really nice natural beach with facilities. The visitor center is small but very interesting! I would think most spring breakers would avoid this beach because it is not free and they patrol it constantly!
