Hurricane Harvey had wrecked havoc on the trees and shrubs but the birds were still there. Some viewing structures were damaged and not repaired but there was ample viewing areas for site all the wonderful birds slipping through on migration.

While we didn't hang around too long due to our schedule, the view was absolutely breathtaking and mesmerizing. Totally worth the drive to get there.
