This visit to the great USS Lexington was my 3rd visit to the ship, and I was highly impressed. All the planes on the deck have a wonderful paint job. They have installed an elevator from the hanger deck to the flight deck, and it made it easy to move my son' stroller from each level. The Ship's various sections... More

If you are anywhere near you have to see this. Standing on the deck you would never believe they could take off and land in that short space.

Definitely worth seeing in Corpus Christi. If you really like exploring big ships, you can spend 4 -5 hours on the ship, especially if you read most of the exhibit signs, see the movies, and speak with the very knowledgeable volunteers like I did. Seeing all of the different planes on the flight deck and walking out to the end... More

First off, make sure to wear comfortable shoes! There is lots of walking to do, especially lots of stairs to go up and down. However, everything is very interesting and the views from the Flight Deck are amazing! Lots to explore and interact with, incredibly fun.

I have a hard time with things related to war and military, but I still enjoyed this experience. It was very educational. It is, however, a strenuous activity. There are many "ladders" (nautical for steep ship stairs) to be navigated in order to see the many tour sections of the ship. Along with military history, a good variety of information... More

Awesome displays of military history and life on an aircraft carrier. Lots of exhibits and things to read, you could spend 2-3 hours seeing most everything and getting a good overview or spend all day. Either way, memorable and unique experience as there are only a few of these types of museums spread across the country. There is a snack... More

An aircraft carrier is the size of a small city, and the five self-guided tours of this warship help impress that reality upon you. The Lexington served from WWII to 1991, and she deserves all the visitors she receives. One highlight for our family were the flight deck, displaying military planes including the A-6, F-4, F-14, and F-18. My nine-year... More

We enjoyed our visit to the Lexington. My kids are old enough now to hold their attention and appreciate the history of the ship. The information about the kamakazee pilots was especially interesting. Worth a visit... don't skip the lower deck exhibits!

Really neat to see and experience. A lot better than I expected. Took 3 yr old. We had to help her with the stairs.
