Today is earth day so there was no entrance fee (we get an annual pass for $20). They handed out bags so people would pick up trash and the beach looked really good. It was nice to see so many people picking up trash. Please please please! Don't go too far, especially after the 4WD warning sign. We had to... More

As always, we loved our visit to Padre Island National Seashore! We love the abundance of wildlife and shelling on the beach. Can't wait to come back!

Nice beach on Padre island. It was quiet and the water was nice a calm. the beach was pretty clean . We found a few jelly fish on the beach so i'm not sure about swimming but there were a few people out in the water.

My kids and I loved it. We just wish we had rented a 4 x 4 to get out to small and large shell beaches. Next time!

This place gives you an opportunity to be part of nature. You learn more than you can imagine. Note: fill your gas tank and picnic basket before you cross to the island. Prices there are higher.

I come here to windsurf for a month every spring and return in the fall for another month. Bird Island Basin on Padre Island is fantastic. Water temps are 74-78 with air temps in the low to mid 80's. Winds are typically 15-25, but can go higher. Park within 30 feet of the water with an awesome windsurf shop located... More

we really liked rving here. they have a campground but sand dunes are in front of the water. no electric or water but have potable water station and dump station. we stayed south beach primitive, which water is right at your door.. only complaint is it is very windy and got covered in sand after 5 day stay.

Nice visitor's center, beautiful beach. I only gave it a four because we were very disappointed to learn that you can't really drive the strand unless you have 4-wheel drive. Wish I'd known that before we paid the fee! Very disappointed in that.

I stayed at a hotel on this beach. It was clean, clear of clutter, and not over crowded. We went the weekend after spring break, and will likely make this a yearly trip from here on out.

Sand dunes and more sand dunes. Water is nearly unswimmable. Really nothing to see except visitors center and that was lacking.
