We walked a long way down the beach in early March. It was a beautiful, peaceful beach, with that peace only rarely disturbed by a truck driving on the beach. Lots of birds, hardly anyone other people. The interpreter at the park visitor center was very knowledgeable and helpful.

We enjoyed our long walk on the beach. It was not very crowded, however we were there in the morning. The views are astounding. We enjoyed it so much we sat at a picnic table for a while just enjoying the views and the wildlife.

Great time lots of friendly people. We had two small dogs and while the water freaked them out they had a good time. Our son had a great time in the water. It was very nice to walk up and down the beach barefooted and watch the people. Hint be prepared to pay $12.00 for the beach and parking pass..

We visited in March when the beach on this barrier island is littered with seaweed and moon jellies, the surf is high, and the wind is blowing hard. There are picnic shelters on Malaquite Beach; there are showers are on boardwalk back to the Visitor's Center. There are additional picnic tables, showers, and restrooms at the Visitor's Center. Leashed pets... More

We stopped at the visitors center instead of driving on down the beach and we had a great time. There are showers and picnic tables next to the beach and it's nice not to have cars on the beach where your kids are playing.

We just strolled and the weather was perfect. And clean. Even for so many people. I will be back again.

An amazing and beautiful area to visit. The wildlife and nature in this National seashore area is a must see. The beaches are very clean and preserved. Primitive camping is allowed right on the beach, all 60 miles of it. The visitor center offers a variety of educational opportunities for children. We are already planning a trip back. This is... We went on a overcast chilly day and pretty much had the place to ourselves. It was very pristine and peaceful. We enjoyed our walk along the water and getting splashed by the waves

Major delay to read Seashore. Nature trail access was blocked by road work. Might be great when done but suggest avoiding until it is finished.
