Came for a weekend and stayed a week. Nothing but beautiful breezy days. The weather was rainy at beginning but plenty of sunshine for the season. We took in fishing and swimming. Could not ask for more. Jetties need some trash pick up, other than that pretty well kept. Locals and tourists very friendly. Great place to spend Thanksgiving!!

if you've had enough of the dirty, crowded beaches in Corpus Christi, take the short trip down S.P.I.D. to North Padre Island State Park. The park is clean and easily navigated. There's a stop with info for the kids, showers, and a quick stop for food, snacks, drinks, etc. Truly an incredible place to see a beach as they were... More

Very clean and inviting. We love the water. This is a great place to visit with your family, just know that there's no lifeguard.

Large pavilion area at welcome center with picnic tables and over 10 indoor shower stalls (women's side) for rinsing off. Facilities in great condition. Walkway gets you very close to beach access and then you can walk for miles along small dunes and packed sand. Fine, white sand good for sculpting. Found no shells or sand dollars at main beach... We loved our time here. We camped three nights (for which I have attempted to post a separate review for Malaquite Campground). The beach is beautiful, with clean water and soft yellow sand. My kids loved beach combing for shells, and both participated in the Junior Ranger program. But the best part of our stay was the birding tour. You... More

Do not go here if you like crowds and water parks and restaurants all around you! Do go here if you like sharing unspoiled beaches with birds of different colors and temperament as well as the rare Ridley turtles. Great place for families with kids of all ages. All you need is a picnic lunch and a good book to... More

Such a relaxing walk in the beach! Grab your hoodie and visit the beach this month when it's just you and the Sandpipers. Sunny cool walk after lunch was a perfect way to end our day of exploring this area. Roll up your jeans, get your feet wet and pretend you don't have a cell signal.

Beautiful! Very pretty even if it was November. However, the beach was littered somewhat. Stopped at the Visitors center. That was nice and it was educational.

weekend with the wife during a business trip to Austin. hit the road friday afternoon and got down there in time to walk along the beach before sunset. there had been a storm that week so the beaches were a little messy, but worth the trip down. I love the shore and she loved the little shops so we both... More

We saw dolphins, sea turtles, shore birds, crabs, fish, and Monarch butterflies all in one day. You can drive on the beach and camp out in designated places. Great fun!
