Make sure to get in line for the free Christmas show. Fantastic performance. The line starts at the old auditorium.

Sound that comforts your soul. Worth walking to and listening to. Go ahead and walk the mall and listen to the waterfalls while you're at it.

We visited the landmark but the guides (nuns) were not giving much of history of the tabernacle but only tried to convert us to be a mormon and kept talking about their religion and it is the best

They practice on Thursday nights, & its free to the public. The acoustics is astounding. Don't be lured into thinking this takes place in the church....it doesn't. It takes place in the Tabernacle across the street.

Go to the choir practice or the live taped performance; it is so special and so well done, it is as if you are witnessing a dream in daytime and all in color.

You can hear them sing on Sunday mornings at 0930, and the rehearsals are on Thursday evenings, when you can come and go if for some reason you cannot stay for the entire time. A visit during the off-season, when they are using the Tabernacle (rather than the gigantic conference center that is usually used in the summer and other... More

The choir only gives one performance per week, but they are open to the public on Thursdays for their rehearsal. Even though it is not a seamless performance you will definitely enjoy hearing them.

Stopped on Thursday night to watch the rehearsal on the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. While this was free, it could have cost us a fair admission price and have been worth every dollar. We were embraced by the magical sound and felt so welcomed by the members of the church who served as our hosts. Thanks for a truly wonderful experience.... More
