The Cathedral glows with light from vast expanses of stained glass and luminous murals. The contemporary Stations of the Cross are particularly wonderful and surprising. They brim with images of both the American Southwest and classic religious iconography. The Cathedral is also a venue for artistic performances for the community, particularly musical ones, and is the performance home for its... More

What a beautiful cathedral in a stunning spot in downtown Salt Lake. The gothic architecture is truly amazing. Free parking makes it easy to visit here. The stained glass is breath taking.

Free parking was available on the side street at the church, small tour guides are available for a donation, worth taking time to visit. Only a few blocks from the town centre if walking

We were surprised to discover this beautiful cathedral in downtown Salt Lake City and were not disappointed with its beauty and grandeur. The stained glass windows and ornate wood carvings in the sanctuary are beautiful to behold and the exterior is even complete with gargoyles similar to what one might see on a European Gothic church. A truly solemn and... More

I enjoyed listening to the choir, and the pageantry for an Easter mass. The area is beautiful and in bloom.

The music at the cathedral is really nice. There is a tour of the cathedral after the last morning Mass on Sunday which explains much of the artwork there.

My boyfriend and I decided to check out the Cathedral of the Madeline, as he grew up Catholic and because I am fascinated by older buildings. Definitely visit this beautiful church. Incredible detail.

The Cathedral is stunning! The interior murals are a blend of more traditional styles and are quite lovely & evocative. In the ceilings above the altar are angels -- look fresco to me. In the upper sanctuary, the perfect Maxfield Parrish blue. And so on ... I was mesmerized by the art & images, and I could have spent hours... More
