Most cost effective horse rides in SLC!
Amazing horseback ride info staff. The owner was extremely friendly and quick to get us on our ride. I wish we had the chance to go a little quicker or spread out but when riding with others who were inexperienced I understood why we went slow and in single file. Everything was safe and smooth! Get ready to sweat and be sore the next day haha! Have fun. Thank you to the staff!!

Great for kids and beginner riders!
My daughter is horse crazy and we surprised her with a ride for her 10th birthday. James, (the owner and our guide) was very friendly and great with our group of kids! The horses were very well behaved and perfect for young children or beginner riders. We enjoyed a 1 hour loop ride through flat terrain without having to backtrack at all. At the end of our ride James gave my daughter a horseshoe as a birthday present and really made her day special. I would highly recommend this business and will probably be returning with my daughter.

    Horseback Riding
I purchased a one hour horseback ride at This Place Heritage Park and let me just say, it was really amazing and so much fun. The guides were very respectful, helpful, educated, and conversational. The horses were very well mannered and easy to control. Would do it again!

    Great horses and wonderful views!
We had a wonderful time on the Utah Trail Ride! I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially novice riders. It was an easy trail and the horses were very well-trained and relaxed. We saw beautiful scenery and even a few mule deer. Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable about the area and reassured me about the horses and what to do along the trail. I would definitely do this again and recommend to anyone who wants to take a horseback ride in the area.

Plenty of history and fun at This is the place Heritage Park
Great place for history and kids. Thought we would just be walking around but there were many children’s activities that my 12 year old enjoyed, including build your own cabin, panning for gold, and bead making.leather stamping and other activities. Petting zoo and animals. Tons of history. We were there all day but it could be a shorter trip. Visitors get to learn about the history of the early pioneers that settled Utah. I was touched to tears hearing the stories along the pioneer children’s memorial path and seeing all the names of the children that died on the trail. It was a wonderful visit. My husband thought it was a little over priced, 18.00 adult admission, but for the activities available and history and time spent, I thought the price for value was appropriate. If we lived in Utah, I enjoyed it so much I would get an annual pass since many special events throughout the year.

    What a great experience!
My family had such a great experience on our trail ride. We arrived at the barn and the owner, James was waiting for us outside to greet us. We had a first timer 11 year old and James made him feel completely comfortable and safe. We were offered helmets which was appreciated. We took a nice relaxing ride while our guides pointed out areas of interest, facts and details about our horses and how much they enjoyed working for James. It is clear how well everything is run and how happy the horses are. They love the walking the trail as much as I did.

Best Horse Trail Ride in Salt Lake
This is a good, laid back place, with nature and history. Its extremely well thought out, clean and every employee was sharp and lovely. The horse trail ride was the crown jewel. The horse staff is helpful, safe and experienced. Their horses are well cared for and barn was impeccable. I wish the park team had Native presenters.

I took my kids on the horseback trail ride. We were greeted by James who was so very nice and friendly. Josh and James were absolutely wonderful and the horses were also very friendly. I would recommend this trail ride for any family or any kid. They explained certain points along the way, and it was just a nice and relaxing hour and a half. I would definitely recommend this.

The parking lot that I wanted to use for long-term parking near Montreal airport was full. This was less expensive so I opted for the Baymont. Big mistake. It's in a very sketchy area. People hanging around everywhere. Didn't see any security. Our car was stolen while it was there. Should have known better. Avoid.

What a beautiful place to go on a horseback ride. This was my daughter's first time. She absolutely loved it. They did great teaching her what to do. They have horses appropriate for all levels. They also had a helmet available for her.
I recommend bringing some sunscreen!

I can highly recommend Utah Trail Rides. James, the owner was super nice, I hadn't been on a horse for over 30 years, but it all came back. It was an awesome experience to get riding again. Not to hard but a little bit of a challenge. My horse, Red, and I bonded super well. He wanted to eat all the time, and they said he shouldn't. He tried his best, but in the end, I won the "little tug of war,"and after the ride, he put his head in my chest to let me scratch his forehead.
Loved it!!!
The weather was perfect as well. Book in advance online!
