Saw this spot on Google Maps and it was on the way...a great surprise as we moved through the PAC NW. Beautiful country...and of course waves of purple lavender with the ever present bee to do it's job. A must see in the Port Angela, Sequim areas.

We came here during the July Lavender festival. It is down an impressive long driveway lined on both sides with rows of lavenders. Great photo spots with a beautiful garden area with purple lavender fields and multi colored poppy fields. Big parking area. $12 for a day pass that allowed visits to 8 or so farms. We found the paid farms were much better than the "free" farms. It is worth the extra money.
The George Washington B&B Inn sits right at the ocean with an amazing view. They had High Tea available, but we did not make reservation. That would be a must do next time. Some of our most beautiful pictures were from this property. Also had a great gift shop for all kinds of lavender products.

Unique place to visit. Beautifully manicured grounds and scenic overlook. There's a small gift shop with various lavender products. The grounds themselves are amazing when lavender is in bloom. A short drive in from Sequim or Port Angeles. Staff were OK, but acted a little weird and pretentious, guessing it was our tattoos, but we didn't care, just noticed we were being eyeballed and carefully watched.

Overrated place, and horrible staff. So windy and desolate. They were rude from the minute we got there to the minute we decided to leave. The entire place is full of signs telling you where you can't go. The owner was appallingly unpleasant and snooty. Very unwelcoming. We felt so uncomfortable we left within minutes. There are dozens of better lavender farms in Sequim, do yourself a favor and take your business anywhere else in Sequim. And save yourself the drive (it's also a fairly long drive from downtown).

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your visit to the farm. However, some clarification for future visitors may be helpful.
The farm is located halfway between Sequim and Port Angeles along the Strait of Juan de Fuca, about 15 minutes from either of these two towns. It is bordered on the east and west by private property owners, and a Mount Vernon replica B&B is on the north end of the property. The B&B guests have exclusive access to the lawns immediately surrounding the Inn, and our neighbors obviously do not want our visitors on their property. Signage identifies these private areas for the sake of the farm visitors. Unfortunately we occasionally have visitors who choose to ignore the signage and proceed into the private areas. The staff and owners need to "remind" them of the farm's perimeter, and this may result in a disgruntled visitor. However, there are well over 5000 lavender plants in the fields to be enjoyed by our farm visitors along with a brilliant display of wildflowers and a gift shop stocked with our farm-produced lavender products. The owners and staff welcome thousands of farm visitors throughout the summer, many of whom return year after year.

The write up on this lavender field was very deceptive. The lavender fields are fenced off and only guests staying in the small Washington B&B have access to view them. There were a few booths on the outside perimeter of the property, but most of them were not worth a visit. Definitely skip this one!

Not worth the stop. Shop clerks and management were not wearing masks. Gift shop was full of chintzy crap and tourist trap garbage. Rather than flying the American flag, they were flying a “Trump Make America Great Again” flag. Skip this one it doesn’t deserve your business.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your visit to the farm. Our shop clerks wear masks consistently when in the shop, so I'm not sure what happened at the time of your visit. All lavender products in the shop are made here on property using the lavender that is organically grown on site. We strive for excellence in quality and service for every visitor.

Let me first say, I have not stayed at the inn. This review is solely about the AFTERNOON TEA EXPERIENCE ONLY not the Inn itself. I payed $37 a person for my daughters and I (one was visiting) to have a special day together. We’ve done a few afternoon teas and are experienced as far as what to expect. We love them and try to go often. All I can say about this one is DON’T waste your money. It was definitely not worth it. I went in thinking we would be getting a tier of food each plus tea and we got one small tier of food (one bite of each thing per person) and we had to split between the four of us because they sat a random lady at our table...(there were tables of just two people with two extra seats????)So basically between the four of us, we paid $148 for one small tier of food. Crazy!! The food was terrible at that. The tea was delicious though. It was warm in there and just not a great experience for us. Very disappointed for the price we paid. I actually sent an email a couple of days ago to the inn explaining the situation and told them I would not be leaving a review on any other website but because I didn’t get a response back and they seem to respond here, I made the decision to post a review here. Please, if you are going to continue to have this afternoon tea, change the menu and the prices...and have a “proper” afternoon tea.

We came late Sunday afternoon and didn't realize it cost to get in. The booths were few but cute. The band was good, but after spending an hour there, we were done. Not really worth the $10 to get in.

Please note that there is typically no entrance fee for our 20 acre lavender farm. This past weekend was the inaugural five-day NW Colonial Festival, combined with the three-day Washington Lavender Festival. The $10 per carload admission provided access to all of the events for both festivals with food, music and lots of activities for the whole family. Unfortunately, due to personal obligations, some of the colonial reenactors had to leave by around noon on Sunday. However, the kids crafts, wreath-making workshop, u-pick, music, food, vendors, afternoon tea, colonial village, etc. continued throughout the afternoon. Come early next year to enjoy an even bigger and better festival!

The large group of Lavender plants to the left side of the Inn formed an intersting pattern - best appreciated from a front facing window on the second floor of the Inn. Very spectacular!

I had the most fun going from one lavendar farm to the next. It was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and informative with whatever my question might be. I loved it!

Can I come visit the lavender farm and fields and take some pictures of the lavender in bloom? When is a good time to visit this year?
Written 13 March 2018
The month of July is the best time to see lavender in bloom on our farm. You are welcome to come and enjoy the lavender fields throughout the year!
Written 17 March 2018
We have more than a dozen varieties of lavender on our farm. Grosso is our main variety for Intermedia (Lavandula X intermedia) and Royal Velvet is our main variety for Angustifolia (Lavandula angustifolia).
Written 12 March 2018
The lavender generally blooms in early summer, reaching its peak in mid-July. This year it peaked a bit early due to our mild winter and early spring. We completed our harvest about a week ago, but the labyrinth has been left for the enjoyment of our visitors. It will be trimmed back in early fall.
Written 19 August 2015
When is the lavender in bloom? We will be in Port Angeles on 8/6/15.
Written 15 March 2015
As a general rule, lavender is at its peak in mid-July. However, it is completely dependent on the season. With our mild winter, there is every likelihood that it will be earlier this year. Harvest is generally completed by mid- to late- August, but many of the farms could still have certain varieties in the field in early August. Please be sure to stop by and see us when you're in the area.
