I actually made an appointment time (due to Covid they are required, it's a45 minute slot) when flying to Seattle (thank goodness for gogo inflight). Once I made the reservation it didn't take long to receive a confirming email response. We had a most wonderful time there learning more about the local marine life; how the exhibits are maintained, the work they do there, loved the touch tanks and the staff was most enjoyable sharing their extensive knowledge. Since we have common interests in Marine life we really enjoyed our time spent there. We will definitely go back there next time we are in the area and hopefully the entire center will be open as Covid has made things so different. Highly recommend visiting there!

We brought our two kids, ages 2 and 3, and they loved the touch tanks. Great stop before you head out to the tide pools at Salt Creek or other nearby beaches. The sea stars, sea anemones and jellyfish were all a big hit.

This is a small aquarium, run by a very friendly staff with interesting educational information to offer if you want it. It has many of the local aquatic specimens and some of the regional oceanic interests to view and learn about. It is an easy stop for a family with children, with tanks that a person can touch or view very close. Individuals with out children would be able to find something of interest as well.

We're used to the astounding Seattle Aquarium, so imagion our disappointment when we entered here. Cold, leaky, small fish enclosures, and volunteers who I'm sure are very nice, but refuse to leave you alone to look around. Numerous times we said no thanks and walked away from them, only to be followed and talked to over and over.

We are truly sorry you were not able to enjoy your visit. "Reading the room" is part of our volunteer training, but this is a good reminder for all of us. Funding for exhibit improvements comes from visitor admissions and donations to the center, so please know that your admission fee will help better the experience in the future.

Nice little place for our 2yo and 5yo to learn about tide pools, nature and animals. Good for a quick stop.

Somewhat interesting but it didn't hold our 9-year old grandson's interest more than a few minutes. It really needs updating and the tanks look old and in need of cleaning. With more tanks and things for kids to do would make it worthwhile.. We walked the pier and area around the center which was pleasant for a stroll but that too could use some sprucing up.

This is a very small but enjoyable sea life museum. The staff and volunteers were great and very happy to share information and answer questions. Just my husband and I visited, but this would be a wonderful place for kids as well. Definitely worth a stop while you are exploring the waterfront.

The Marine Life Center is an affordable, fun activity on the city pier in Port Angeles. So many visitors ask about tidepools, and this place has touch tanks where you can actually touch the local creatures who live in the tidepools. This is a really fun activity to do with kids (I promise they’ll love it) but adults will also love the experience. The volunteers are absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the center.

The volunteer present was exceptional. She paid attention to us and was extremely informative, which made our visit so much better. It was a learning experience done in a way that was fun. Admission for us was free, but we definitely donated.
