We spent a weekend here in May. Our campsite had a beautiful view out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The campsites that can be reserved are much less attractive than the ones you just pick when you get there. And you still get water and electric hookups. Great tide pooling walking distance from the Campground at Tongue Point.... More

Not only is this a great place to camp but the views and history of the area are something special. The main campground is terraced with spaces overlooking the Straits of Juan Defuca with Vancouver Island just across the waterway from you. And if spectacular views are not enough there is a World War II gun emplacement in the park... More

I probably should not tell you about one of my favorite spots on the Olympic Peninsula because it is so, well, special. Stunning, actually. I love to go, take a picnic and just hang out, listening to the water and the breeze through the huge pine trees there along the coast. Gaze across the State at Vancouver Island. Not to... More

Great park for families. Powered campsite are in the first open field like area. Not much privacy. I recommend the unpowered sites on the further loop that are in the trees. Very private. Many are right on the waters edge. Great place to watch wildlife in the kelp.

Check your tide tables and head out to see the exposed see life at low tide. Walk up to the old gun location. Climb to the top of Stripped Peak, Great views of Vancouver Island. Make sure you have a Canadian Calling plan before using your Cell phone from the Camp area, you will be roaming into Canada.

This is an amazing campground located right on the Strait of Juan De Fuca facing Vancouver Island, British Columbia which is clearly visible most days. Many of the RV sites are on the open grass area with a full time view of the Strait. There are also RV sites and tent sights which are located in the woods just to... More

Tongue Point proved to be the best part of the Salt Creek Recreation Area with great views, as well as a historical WWII pill box on site.

I loved this place. I loved camping there and the fantastic views and the beach access. Clean running water, outlets in the bathrooms, which are plentiful, and easy access to the refuse bins. We did have night visitors in the form of raccoons who rifled through my cooking grill late at night. Even though the spots are close together, people... More

This is one of those places where I am torn about reviewing. I don't want it to get "discovered" but it's too good to not say anything. This relatively small place is essentially the entire Olympic Peninsula all packed into a relatively compact space minus the high mountain peaks and glaciers, but you get peek-a-boo views of the mountains in...
