Nice quick visit to the pier to look at the water. There's a tower to climb to get even better views from this pier.

Classic Small Town America . . . We travel all over the Western USA and Canada, ALWAYS looking for examples of "The Good Life"! This is It . . .
One of the Cleanest places we've ever seen. . . Of course, Everything in the Pacific Northwest gets "washed" every week by the rain! (Smile!)
On the way to Pt. Angeles, you have to drive through Sequim, WA. this was a Learning Experience, even for a seasoned traveller. . . Of Course, I thought it would be pronounced "See-Kwe-Im"... BUT, the gas bar attendant politely explained it is a traditional Native name pronounced: "Skwim"... as in swim with a K . . .
One of the BEST Parts of travel is the Learning available!

Travel On . . .

You will enjoy if you are a youngster. Elderly people seem to like this place but for people in between age group, you have nothing to do or see that is exciting.

There is always something to see and watch from the pier and nearby sandy beach. Watch the Coho ferry come and go, watch freighters. One evening the pier was alive with locals, crabbing and fishing after dark. Music on Wed at 6 PM in the summer.

Nice city pier with a tower that gives you a great view of the wharf and water. Can be super windy! The public bathrooms for the wharf area are on the pier.

People were rude, can't drive for snot, city was pretty dirty and run-down looking. Tried to spend money here but nobody wanted it. Went to dinner to be turned away because apparently they don't seat people after 630pm. Tried to hit up the doughnut shop downtown but apparently they are closed on Wednesdays. Tried to go shopping downtown and it 90% restaurants thay all close at 8. And the few shops we found were either closed or didn't have much to look at.. someone needs to explain to the people of this town that they are a coastal, national park town. They should at least during the summer act like they want visitors here. This town has potential but fall way short currently. Had money to spend and was here for 4 days and I spent I think $30 in town total including our trip to Walmart. That's pretty ridiculous. If you come to this town be ready to treated like a 2nd class citizen and be ready to be disappointed. Nice parks and great location but all of it neglected and run-down.

This pier has easy access with great views of the ocean. It also has a publicly accesable tower for whale watching in season.

We found people crabbing from the pier. Watched the Black Ball ferry come and go. Marveled at the snow peaks behind the city.

This pier is quite fun to walk with anyone because it’s safe and there is a platform that you can walk up to and have a very good view of the Port Angeles waterfront. There are bathrooms available and the Science Center is also located here. The murals are great.

Loved the City Pier and Tower, but the wind was extremely cold in the last week of June. The views were awesome.
