Rocktopus starts the stroll onto the pier of fantastic views and great conversations with the other walkers.

We found people crabbing from the pier. Watched the Black Ball ferry come and go. Marveled at the snow peaks behind the city.

Worth walking
Oct 2021 • Family
This pier is quite fun to walk with anyone because it’s safe and there is a platform that you can walk up to and have a very good view of the Port Angeles waterfront. There are bathrooms available and the Science Center is also located here. The murals are great.

Cold
Jun 2021
Loved the City Pier and Tower, but the wind was extremely cold in the last week of June. The views were awesome.

A nice walk
Jun 2021 • Family
A nice little walk after dinner. There is a tower to climb up on. Stunning views. We could see several large ships moving about. It is a really pretty area. Worth taking the walk.

We could see everything!
May 2020 • Family
We had no idea Port Angeles was such a busy port / port city! It was very neat getting to see all the different ships, especially getting to see them from the top of the tower / “lighthouse” looking thing at the end of the pier!
A fun experience indeed, especially if you’ve got young kids!

A nice area to walk around by the ocean. There is an observation tower but nothing much was going on when we were there. Would recommend

Nice for the views of the city and the mountains
Dec 2019
The primary attraction of the pier is climbing to the top of the observation tower allows great views of the water, the city and the mountains surrounding the city.

Nice views

Great place to park and visit. There are public bathrooms and the little aquarium right on the pier along with historic plaques. You can walk up to a two story pavilion and look out to the Coast Guard Spit. There is a pathway that is next to the Red Lion where you can walk a good mile or more.

Don't Miss Crab Festival, Oct. 11th in 2019, was the 18th Event!
Oct 2019
Our 2nd visit from Victoria BC to Port Angeles for the Annual Crab Festival. We bought the Blackball Ferry tickets which include the Crab Dinner. This time we didn't buy the package with the hotel although that's also a good way to go.

A fabulous day of Great Music, quality beverages (local Craft beer and Wines). The Dungeness Crab dinner with "Corn on the Cob" is really good but some of the other food offered is also great. We shared the Scallop and Bacon Tacos for an appetizer and had to go back later in the evening for another order to share.

The Bands are varied (Country, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Rock, etc.) and all really good musicians, mostly local but Meg Williams & Jenny Teator came all the way from Nashville, TN, and were really entertaining, songwriters, musicians, singers and performers accompanied by their drummer.

We'll be back!

Nice pier, nothing to do here....
Sep 2019
It's a nice large area, but there is nothing to do here other than look out at the water and passing boats, or walk down to a small section of waterfront, which many doggies seem to love
