Having toured the very grand Hay House a couple of hundred yards up the road, the Cannonball House was a massive contrast in scale, design and grandeur. We couldn't imagine ourselves living in the Hay House, but we certainly could in the Cannonball House: it's...More

We had hoped to go to Hay House and Cannonball House on the same day, but only the latter let us in. A very friendly guide gave us a thorough insight in both the history of the house and the city of Macon.

Love the architecture of the house and its fencing! Well preserved home with so much rich history to learn about the family who lived there, as well as the furnishings and the reason it is called the Cannonball House.
