Despite booking over the phone for a behind the scenes tour and tasing were told upon arrival that it was just the tasting that day. On the upside I'm glad we'd booked as we got the last table outside, it was lovely sitting in the sun sampling the wine. The building is very sleek, shiny and modern.
It was very busy, so as a result it was less personal than other vineyards we'd visited but none the less the service was nice. It was also one of the most pricey too, $18 for 4 wines. Glad we went but it wouldn't be in our top 3 recommended cellar doors to visit.

We caught them at a low point I think. No cheese board available despite sign outside. Woman who served wines got the wrong wines twice, gave us virtually no information and was clearly struggling to cope with the (5) customers. Borderline rude on occasions and not interested in making us feel welcome! Small tasting room nowhere near as comfy or relaxing as many others. Decent Sauvignon but out of the six tastings so far this week this was by far the least enjoyable.

We were here as part of a small group wine-tasting day trip. The quality of the wines was at least as good as any other winery we visited on the day. They had an Albarino, not something we encountered elsewhere. The lady who led us through the tasting was very generous with her pours, and with her insights into the Marlborough wine industry. Highly recommended.

This was the first stop on our guided tour of four vineyards. We were greeted in a friendly manner and the samples we tried were fairly generous. The selection was quite a surprise as we were not previously aware of the range of wines produced in the region. A good start to an interesting morning.

This was a highly recommended visit for our (self directed) wine tour and stop No.1 for the day. We had a booking for 7ppl @ 10:30am. We arrived on time, we walked in and met by two staff who seemed surprised or confused as to why we were there. We informed them we had a booking (which had been confirmed) and told that “ we could put some tables together or sit outside”. This isn’t an issue but it was clear that either there had either been no communication from booking to floor staff or possibly had the booking missed entirely but it was the attempt of “giving us an option of seating” and then seeming annoyed when we chose to sit outside.
The wine was lovely, but the service was disjointed. 4 of the group had one wine tasting package and 3 had another. We sat in our perspective groups at the same table to help keep it consistent. Numerous times tastings would be poured, but only half of us would get a tasting and then would need to remind our server we all were having the same wine, it all felt very disjointed and even with a booking felt as though we surprised the staff with our attendance.

We visited during harvest while under covid restrictions. This was one of a very few cellar doors open and we had one of the wine makers take us through the tasting. Despite bring short staffed they were attentive and the wine was fantastic

Nautilus Estate is a great example of Marlborough's diversity!
Friendly, passionate, knowledgeable and beautiful wine for every palate...the best start to a few days of tastings. Faves were the creamy Cuvée Marlborough bubbles, a first being the perfectly balanced Albariño, then a stunning limited release Chairman’s Reserve Pinot Noir - a standout in a region not usually known for reds, these ones are going straight to the trophy room (aka the cellar).

Put Nautilus high on your Winery Tour list.
We were on route from from Picton to Nelson when our friends took us to this delightful winery. Yes it is small but everything is excellent.
I suggest their tasting cheese platters although they are only snack size it is the best way to sample wines.

Surprised at the different choices. Very good host with a personal touch. Happy to share information and to allow plenty of tastes. Buy wine and tasting is free, as with all the wineries we visited. This was the only place we tasted that offered some crackers with the tasting. Good selection, something for everyone.

This was our first winery visit in Marlborough. What a great start. Luckily it wasn't busy on our Viana we enjoyed a lovely wine tasting. Beautiful decor as well.
