With a history of environmental disasters and alleged corruption by NZ locals, the company that has a monopoly on skiing in the north island wasn't the first place I wanted to give my money. Finally gave it a go and it's just awful. The facilities,...More

Thanks for your review. Your review on the 31st May 2017 was prior to our opening date for winter 2017, so I am a little confused at what you 'gave a go' - we opened our Happy Valley Snow Park on the 3rd June 2017....More

Learnt to ski here 40 years ago. Never get tired of going back. Just check the weather forecast before you go, because it's exposed up there.

Was great to see the views and see what all the hype is about even without the snow. Great to see attention to detail and all the hard maintenance work going into the area in preparation for the snow season.

Skied heer for many years, but never seen it with so little snow. EVery skier should make this trip just to see the difference between summer and winter and how much snow this mountain need to make this resort work

This is basically a ski hub in winter with parking, equipment hire, cafes, chairlift facilities all jostling for space. In summer it is less of a bustle and you can actually find some nice clothing and souvenir stores also.

We rode the skilift to the top in March, which was very inexpensive. There are walking trails at the top as well as a restaurant with incredible views.
