enjoyable walks fresh air open spaces. Great views of Buzzards Bay and the islands. It's always an adventure, you can also stop by the Vietnam War memorial, and the museum. Great playground for the young ones, cozy spots to wet your feet or take a swim.

Walked all over the entire park along the water. Incredible views of the water. Excellent place for the kiddos to run themselves ragged. Free for now but apparently the city starts to charge a small entry fee starting typically after Memorial Day.

Great place to swim, picnic . The views are wonderful, it is an all open view of Buzzards Bay and on a clear day easy viewing of the islands. Walking paths, just a beautiful spot to enjoy a relaxing day by the sea.

As a native of New Bedford, and a history lover; I always have this on the top of my list of places to visit whenever I am back home. I love this place! Not only is there a genuine Civil War fort, but the park and scenery are breathtaking. My rabbits love to play there. And then there is the... More

Fort Tabor Park is located on the outskirts of New Bedford - with a nice view of the ocean and inlet to the harbor. It also has a nice walking path, benches and the old fort.

The park is very expansive and perfectly manicured. There was not a piece of trash in sight and there was plenty of green space and ocean views. A lovely park to spend the afternoon and the old fort remnants are very interesting too.

Not as well-known nationally as our epic Whaling Museum, yet a treasure of equal value that is a reflection of life and sacrifice. Equal in stature and every bit as valuable. The Whalemen became our Veterans and their sacred ancestry is the genetic source of what the City of New Bedford is to this day. Rich in the raw essence of... More
