The water is crystal clear. The waves do pick up as the day progresses. The beach is gorgeous and there is so much to see....incredible plants, flowers, wildlife etc

Volcanic sand. Wow. Beautiful bay with amazing views. Small surf but enough for the kids to play in. Very family friendly. I am in love with the locals

Wailea Beach is just a gem. Crowded at times but still quite enjoyable. It is a perfect beach for families as evidenced by the cluster of resorts that line its shores. We enjoy each and every visit here.

You can always go get in your car and drive to Makawao which is a cool little town that is "upcountry"...or you can just walk next door to the hotel and shop at the mall.
