Great Views. Great Staff. Solid Course.
I had the great opportunity to play the Gold course with my son. Our family vacationed to Maui in July. Because of our son's Asst. PGA status, we were very fortunate to play a course that otherwise is out of reach for many. The course was solid. It was long from the tips, about 7,000 yards, so there were plenty of long shots into the green. The rolling and undulating topography was especially challenging if that is something you are not used to. A good shot could end up in a bad place and bad shot in a good place, so patience was the order of the day. The views were noteworthy and you were able to see things only for those golfing there would be able to see. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. We had rental clubs and when I asked if there was a putter option, one of the outside specialists said, "Normally, what's in the bag is what you have to play with, but let me go check on something." I wasn't being overly picky, it was a putter shape and style that I had never played with. With that said, the kid brings me his own Scottie Cameron putter and says, "How about this one?" I told him it was perfect and promptly took care of him. The putter was my friend that day. Overall: It was a great experience. The course is definitely worth playing. I think one would have to look at cost and what time of day to play. We got lucky with a 10 AM tee time that ended just as the trade winds were making their presence known. As for our game? The kid shot 75, the old man 95, but the day was memorable and I wouldn't trade a thing. Well, maybe a couple of shots here and there. :)

3 Terrific golf courses - strongly recommended - Check with course about discounts for playing multiple times
3 Terrific golf courses - in very, very good shape. Very friendly staff (not snooty as are found at some high quality golf courses). Suggest looking at card to decide which of courses is best for you (Gold most challenging, Emerald middle), Blue - least challenging I initially thought about Gold but that looked a little more challenging than I wanted to try. The courses are not cheap if you play several times it's somewhat less. Be sure to check with the course about this.

    Great golf course to play
Last day of our trip and booked the golf course with my wife and I. She got a brand new set of titlelist irons and driver. Then to top things off she gets a Scotty Cameron putter. We were treated exceptionally well by everyone. The views on this course were breathtaking. Would play this again the next time I am in Maui

Had a wonderful golf outing with my son. The course was in terrific shape, the challenge was intense with the afternoon winds, and the greens were consistent in their speed. It's been many years since I last played a round of golf at Wailea, but it never disappoints. Even the club rentals were great quality.

Lots to do - we tried sunrise at the volcano, whale watching, horseback riding, golf at RTJ, and pool/beach fun. Only hitch was no walk off the beach windsurfing. Had to rent gear, strap to car rack, drive to launch, gear up/down,…. Would have been OK but our week brought epic 40’ waves and too many Tiger sharks (one killed a surgeon the day we scouted wave/rental conditions).

Played here day after Xmas on the emerald course. The greens were rough, sandy in many places and slow. Many were punched. There was no notice online when booking. Was overpriced as such. If greens were better this would be a 5 star. But the views! On the positive side it’s the best views of the bay in Maui (I played Kapalua to compare). Staff was nice. Had no issues.

The Gold course was in fantastic condition. The views were stunning of the ocean and we saw the whales flipping in the distance from the putting area.
The staff were welcoming and the food after was superb.
The onion rings were the best ever! 😀

Amazing experience here on the Emerald Course. The course was in great condition. The greens were slow, put some weight behind those putts. Can’t wait to do it again. The staff treated me like a pro. The rented clubs reminded me that I need to upgrade my gear when I get home. Huge thank you to the entire team at the WGC.

From bag drop off to shopping in the club house after the round everything was awesome. Staff was very nice and helpful for first time guests. Golf carts were amazing. The course itself was super. Just had an awesome experience overall.
