The Talvera tile on the exterior of this church is considered one of the great architectural details in Mexico. The interior had great detail. A must see. Combine it with your visit to the Cholula pyramid. 60 peso Uber ride between the two.
Excellent tiles on the outside, very nice on the inside. The main entrance is closed due to reconstruction for the earthquake, but you can get in the side near the cloisters. Well worth the side trip if you are visiting the pyramid.
This is a beatutiful church which was unfortunately hardly hit by the earthquakes (leave a small donation for rebuilding the convent). It is still worth visiting it - come in the morning because some parts of the area are closed in the afternoon.

Fascinating church covered with local Talavera tile giving it the appearance of a gingerbread house. Interesting interior art reflecting indigenous style--a real contrast to the more European style churches in Puebla City. Worth the trip to Cholula.
