This must be one of the most beautiful and impressive natural places in the world. During wintertime the enormous big icemountains are stuck in the Icefjord. We sailed out in the fjord and were astonished by its beauty.

The best experience of Ilulissat is free and open 24 hrs a day. I visited the icefjord at the end of march when there is still quite a bit of snow. There are pretty much 2 startingpoints.. either at the powerplant or on the south...More

Words can't describe how absolutely beautiful the Ilulissat Icefjord is. It's massive and magnificent. What is especially incredible is how easy it is to get to from Ilulissat. We spent hours just staring in amazement at the scenery. I think we took over 1,400 pictures...More

If you come to Ilulissat, we were there in winter time, you go there mainly because of glaciers and icebergs. A boat trip to the giant icebergs is unforgettable, But do not forget to put on all your clothes, the icebergs spread the cold even...More

This place.. Words cannot describe it, but I'll do my best: if you enjoy surreal landscapes of ice, sea and snow, of pink peachy skies contrasted with the stark white and blue of the icebergs, surrounded by hard, black rock mountains facing the sea -...More

The source of 80% of the North Atlantic icebergs. Calving from the glaciers, struggling down the Isfjord, fighting their way into Disko Bay to start their journey. UNESCO World Heritage Sight. Fantastic!!!

This scenary of Disko bay and Illulissat ice-fjord simply stuns me with beautiful icebergs and long fjord view. The view is as impressive as the ones in Alaska, Iceland, and Patagonia Puerto Morino. Highly recommend.

I am not sure which boat you will be on, but it could be a fisherman's boat. When we were there we had to climb down a latter to get on board. So it could be a bit tricky for you.
