Makes a nice walk from the center of town. There is a popular park at the tip of the point, where one can (just about) swim - I did!

An upmarket part of Cienfuegos consisting of a spit of land jutting into the sea with some attractive large houses, a nice looking hotel right at the end and various beach bars etc. Worth a visit if you're passing to say you've been there, but...More

The end of Cienfuegos' famous Malecon (sea walk) is a lovely park, great bar, and the gazebo at the end of the trail. Perfect spot for sunsets, and they are beautiful.

If you walk out of Cienfuegos southwards, you will end up at the Punta Gordo. Filled with villas and most of them interesting, there is a little park at the end with a bar, pedaloes and food vendor. Great views of Cienfeugos bay both sides

One of the most beautiful points to watch the sunset. There's lovely bar with the best monitor there.

It's definitely worth walking down to La Punta Gorda. It take about an hour to casually walk it. It's a lovely part of town with cute houses and some wealthy areas too. Highly recommend visiting during sunset hours!

Interesting part of city, a bit far from center, but I took the taxi (I saw public buses going in that direction as well). It is possible to have a cocktail in the restaurant over there

I say yes but it also needs to fit into what ever else you are planning on doing in Cuba. Cienfuegos is a unique city since it was actually begun by French planters who fled from Haiti in the slave revolt. The architecture... More
