Great place to see the sun go down.

À young man was playing his accoustic guitar while we were there. What an atmosphere! The bar in the park offers drinks. Cool place to chill at Happy hour.

Ideal place to seat and have a cocktail, with life Cuban music and the splendor of the sunset into the sea.

Punta Gorda is a beautiful area that was once the playground of the wealthy. It's now the place where "salsa capitalism" is booming. The restaurants are interesting looking, and if the one where I ate was a good example, they are trying their best to make the food shine. And it's hard to beat the view from the paladares that... If you are reasonably fit you may walk from down town Cienfuegos out to the Punta Gorda in 45 minutes. Kiss your wife, look at the sunset over the sea, and grab a horse or motorcycle taxi back to town - its approx. 2 CUC.

Wonderful place where to sit and relax drinking a Mojito in the middle of the Bay of Cienfuegos, one of the few towns in Cuba with a good Yach Club.

Punta gorda is located quite conveniently near the malecon (harbour). Situated slightly outside the centre of the city, but I didn't feel as if we missed much staying away from the centre. Provides convenient walk along the harbour wall overlooking the sea. The highlight is the look and feel of the casas in punta gorda. We stayed at Rosie's house,... More

Punta Gorda is a long narrow peninsula which features ocean views, pretty houses and a decent selection of paladors. It is worth taking time to either drive down the peninsula or take a nice long walk. However, it is just a quick stop to view the older residences from the early planters and is worth seeing.

We walked the length of the Punta Gorda peninsula and started just before sunset. It had to be over a mile (roughly two kms) and by the time we got to the southern tip it was dark. We should have started a bit earlier. While we were at the tip a city bus pulled up and we piled in with... More

Was a nice walk down here. Views are very much the same all the way down. There is a nice little park at the end of Punta Gorda which I would recommend going to.
