Good for a quick stop.

It was neat to see, but I am lost expected a little bit more. There is a small museum to go along with the grounds.

This attraction is free. The museum is very interesting and informative. The staff were very helpful. Outside you can follow a short trail around the site. Some imagination is required.

So much info in the Museum. Books, maps, handmade items for sale. The clerk is so knowledgeable and friendly. See the movie while you are there, it's very informative.

We stopped here to see the mounds. There is a small museum with a short movie that gives you an overview of the site. I recommend stopping here first so that you understand what you're seeing. The attraction is free but please make a donation if you're able. The staff member at the museum on the day that we visited... More

I hope the reviewers who criticized the Grand Village about the condition of the grass hut actually went into the museum and looked at the exhibits and saw the movie. Yes, the film wasn't hi-def quality, but I learned a whole lot of history of which I was unaware. And that's what travel should be about--the learning.

Because my husband and I are interested in Mississippian culture sites, we worked to find this place. Our GPS took a while to locate it, but we were determined. The museum is small but informative; the store had great examples of local Indian basketry. The woman at the museum was really helpful, providing us with lots of literature on the... More

The staff worker was very thoughtful and really liked what she was doing. It was too bad that things from meeting her went downhill. The movie would have been good but they need to improve the sound which was very hard to hear. The volume was up and down through the movie. When we went outside the structures they had... More

The lady working there is so sweet and friendly! The little museum is educational and there was a short little film to watch. The film was really home-movie'ish, but they were obviously on a $0 budget lol. I enjoyed walking around the grounds to see the mounds. They had a replica of a Natchez dwelling, but it was beginning to... More

This is not the most glamorous site in Natchez, but, I suspect, that once it was. The Grand Village consists of a small museum and gift shop. There are two or three historical mounds that were utilized by the Natchez Indians many centuries ago. They were fully excavated a number of decades back and then rebuilt and restored. One of... Being from Indian descent, I have been fascinated with Indian Tribes. You will want to see the short film. Then go through and see all the artifacts. The last thing is walk outside.
