Maturing nicely, thanks to the help of the volunteer goups. Occasional vandalism spoils things for everyone, but the old quarry has been transformed into a great local amenity.

As we are new to the area we have been looking for somewhere within walking distance to take the dog at the weekend. We have now tried Marford Quarry twice and found it to be quiet enough but not a lonely place. You can walk...More

We had a lovely walk in the snow our granddaughter loved the man sat contemplating at the beginning of the walk. They have easy walks as well as the more challenging Can’t wait to see in in the spring as the Japanese pines looked magnificent.

This is essentailly just a fairly small country park in an old quarry setting but it is really nice for an afternoon walk. You can walk for an hour or so and there are shady tree lined avenues, ponds, blackberries, views towards Liverpool etc.

Great for a gentle jog, or a walk with the family, apparently an old quarry, that nature has taken over (Back) with the help of planting trees in the late 70s, can be muddy in places, especially after a large downpour.

Very pleasant place for peaceful walks, and so far from the hustle and bustle. I hope that the place remains just as it is, and does not attract any 'undesirables' to it.

Visited here recently. Main path OK but side paths very muddy & I didn't have my walking boots with me. Great views from the high ground. Will be visiting again very soon.

Hidden little gem in Gresford, great for any length of walk and some good paths that don't get muddy.
