We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this museum. A great deal of history is provided via handsets - more than we could properly take in. The museum is much larger than we expected. The only criticism is that the lack of time continuity...More

Thank you so much for coming to see us! We certainly understand how the presentation of the figures out of chronological order is certainly not ideal. Our museum was built in 1971 as our founder's dream and pinnacle of her career. Since she built the...More

I’m a fan of wax museums and I was a bit disappointed with this one. It was nice to see they had all the Presidents, but some of the Presidents I was looking forward to see weren’t so good. (Didn’t look like the person) Overall,...More

Thank you for your business and for your feedback! While we admit we have about five of our 44 presidents who have a much more 80s stylized appearance (which was popular among wax artists at the time) we are excited to let you know that...More

They have a really great video on their website showing the process of creating the wax figures. There was so much detail on Trump's figure and it looked so realistic. So we decided to stop on by and check this place out while in town....More

Thanks for the feedback, Mary! We are sorry you did not enjoy our museum as much as you anticipated. I'm glad to say that all of our figures we commission now are made by the same team of artists that created President Trump, which many...More

Nothing to write home about. Obama was not a good likeness at all. The lighting throughout the whole place was lacking, couldn't even see Lincoln. Many of the presidents didn't look like them. It was the most disappointing thing we did in the Black Hills.More

Thanks for the feedback Jennifer! While we have about four presidents who were created in a much more 80s/90s style of wax artistry that doesn't appeal to all people, I'm excited to tell you that all our figures going forward will be created by the...More

This was a nice museum. Most of the statues were good representations. Some I felt were not so good however. The self guided audio tour was good. It was a little wordy, but gave you a great background and history for the president and the...More

Was a great place to take the kids to and let them get some historical information about the Presidents. Some of the figures weren't great, but for the most part they were good. Loved to be able to stand at the "Presidential Podium" and was...More

Some of the older presidents actually had a likeness to their pictures. Any of the presidents since the George H Bush do not look like themselves. Some good information in the guide. Overall not worth the money or the time.
