I have been to Mt Rushmore multiple times but had never stopped into the historical center. It was awesome to learn about the history of the man who made the mountain possible.

Wonderfull self guided audio tour learning about Gutzon Borglum. Well worth the hour or so to go through. Employees were extremely courteous and helpful.

You are better off skipping this if you are visiting Mount Rushmore. They have the same amount or more information at the visitor center there' Place is old, kind of smelly with employees that don't know more about Mt. Rushmore that you do

This tiny place was set up choppily, uninforming, old and unkempt. The staff were not helpful in answering questions or even figuring out how much to charge us.
