Great for the whole family, children and adults alike, and wheelchair accessible. A nice short gentle stroll back in time. We have visited this historic landmark many times and make a point to take guests here when visiting AZ. The location along Beaver Creek with...More

I was surprised at how easy the trail was to see Montezuma Castle. The trail is wide, paved, and is a short walk to the actual place. Bring your stroller, it will definitely be comfortable to navigate. There is an air conditioned gift shop at...More

My boys were disappointed that they couldn't climb up to the "castle" but were still amazed at the fact their are dwellings in the rocks. Rangers were helpful and we all learned a lot about the culture of the area!

We visited on a 100 degree plus day. A short trip that is very worth the stop. Historic. The Visitor Center is a lovely small museum. Take the time to stop here.

So glad we stopped!! Very nice visitors center with loads of information. The history was fascinating! But my family was amazed at the rattlesnake that crossed our path which the staff at the park quickly removed without incident.

We fly out of Phoenix Sunday evening. I was wondering if we could do Jerome and Montezuma's Castle in about 4 hrs. Do they let you up into the castle?

We traveled from Prescott and did not stop in Jerome, but we did the castle and the well in about 2-2.5 hours. And you cannot go up into the castle. Walking tours stopped when geologists deemed it unsafe.

How much time should I allot for my trip to Montezuma's Castle? We have a long trip that day and I am curious if it will take more than an hour or two. We only plan on walking the main path, maybe taking a handful of photos, and probably just breezing thru any visitors center/museum.

We were there for about 30 minutes- it's only a 2 minute walk to get there and there are a few trails.
