Incredibly stunning monument. Very well preserved and very good information throughout the castle explaining each room. Beautiful photo opportunities. A non very well known gem that has nothing to envy to other much more crowded European destinations that offer castles like this one.

We did not climb to the castle, but rather enjoyed its views from various points of the beach. Worth a visit!

We visited peniscola on a self catering holiday. Amazing. Amazing food, entertainment in peniscola, beautiful castle, people. Everything was very traditional, nothing was too much trouble. We will def be revisiting. The castle is beautiful as is the town peniscola.
