Chatty custodian was very helpful but we disappointed him by ignoring the coin collection! Some extraordinary items but the Jewish lamps were only fragments.

As a first time visitor to Lorca I was really impressed with the city as a whole. This museum gives you a good insight to the history of the area and it's archilogical finds.

Museum is a good representation of Lorca's history over 4000 years excavations are ongoing in the area and finds land up here. You have a good incite of the town through the ages especially during Roman and Arab invasions.

We visited the archeological museum in Lorca today, by chance and were very impressed. Everything was so well presented that it brings alive the past in a way that is very easy to relate to, without oversimplification. Highly recommended.
