We had a very interesting and informative tour of the history behind the capes and cloaks that take Many years to embroider and are worn in Semana Santa. It was fascinating.

Friends had recommended that we go and see this but we weren't prepared for how extensive the museum is, or how fine and exquisite the Semana Santa embroideries would be or all the various surprises on different levels including the church.

A beautiful display of the capes and uniforms worn at Semana Santa. And an enthusiastic commentary by Maria who was so passionate. Absolutely worth a visit.

Lorca is not a name that appears as "must see when in Spain". Well we spent a few days here and loved it. While only a small museum, the craftsmanship is absolutely amazing as it is in its competitor, the Azul museo
