Lorca is not a name that appears as "must see when in Spain". Well we spent a few days here and loved it. While only a small museum, the craftsmanship is absolutely amazing as it is in its competitor, the Azul museo

Shocked to find there was no charge to enter this place. Really is worth a visit. And the chapel is a must as it is one of the finest you may see anywhere

Make sure you get timings right as many Lorca sites close for most of the afternoon. But visiting this site offers spectacular hand made cloaks and are still used in their main Easter fiesta parade. Beautifully hand embroidered cloth offers insight into the towns historical...More

Passing by and decided to venture in. 2 euros for entry and well worth it. The displays were fabulous and the work in them was mind blowing. The museum was a mass of gold and ornate decoration, excellent.

The Church is worth a visit in it's own right - beautiful gold altars & church furniture, amazing ceiling and sculptures. And of course it makes a good place to get out of the heat and cool down. The museum has numerous items which all...More
