Lorca is not a name that appears as "must see when in Spain". Well we spent a few days here and loved it. While only a small museum, the craftsmanship is absolutely amazing as it is in its competitor, the Azul museo

Passing by and decided to venture in. 2 euros for entry and well worth it. The displays were fabulous and the work in them was mind blowing.The museum was a mass of gold and ornate decoration, excellent.
The Church is worth a visit in it's own right - beautiful gold altars & church furniture, amazing ceiling and sculptures. And of course it makes a good place to get out of the heat and cool down.
