We had high expectations for this museum, but we were kind of disappointed. It is very small and packed with all kinds of stuff. Most of them were not worth the attention. We liked the souvenir department best and bought some nice t-shirts there.

Called in here on our way west. Lovely museum - you can pay a quick visit or stay much longer - lots to see. Free entry though donations are requested. Great Route 66 gift shop. We were made to feel most welcome by Steve and Karen and chatted to them for quite some time.

This was so worth the time. This is an american icon. There was so much to learn and you could make this an all day event if you wanted to. We watched the video that had playing and loved the radio music. This is a lot in a small space but would recommend this place to anyone.

We were looking for the Harvey House after we came off I-15 and while it was closed we discovered the Mother Road Museum. Free admission gets you in to see probably the single best collection of Route 66 memorabilia I've ever seen! They don't mind if you take pictures! The gift shop has surprisingly fair prices and after you're done... More

Went to Barstow specifically to stop at this museum. Its a labor of love for the folks with lots of Route 66 memorabilia and photos. Also have a gift shop. If you are touring Route 66, you must stop here! An extra is that it is at the same location as the Harvey House and the Western American Train museum

I moved from Long Beach CA with pregnant wife in a 1962 Valiant to Va where I've lived the last 44 years . I drove Rt 66 for most of the way to the East coast so I've had interest in the highway . The museum was fantastic and brought back fond memories for me . I would recommend this... More

One of the better Route 66 Museums in the area, there are several. Make sure to check the hours, they are only open on Friday and Saturday for most of the year.
