Thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of Cliff Palace. Our guide was tremendous. We purchased tickets in Cortez the morning of and we had plenty of time to explore the park.

I forgot to mention - the visitor center is the first place you will see when you enter the park -it is en-route to The Far View Lodge.

I think they're allowed, but best to check with the parks service. You might also check about rules for your 3 year-old because the tour involves descending some steep stairs and climbing ladders.
