I have come three times to this quaint town. Unlike many small towns in Europe, this one has "Porruanos" who refuse to abandon it for the big city. They are people with love to the land and family: my people. Some went to America, but the land pulled them back. It has a lively Casino ("downtown". No gambling here, just cards games, a good drink and good company). It has two restaurants, two hotels, a "bowling" alley on dirt, the ethnographic museum, a nice park for children to play, a central plaza and lots of trails to go to the mountain of Cuera, or to the beach at 1.5 miles in Celorio. Ah! And a secret cave only for the locals to explore.. I am not telling.…
