We had a nice non-strenuous walk (kids aged 10,12,14) through the park to the main suspension bridge. I hadn't understood what the main part of the walk is so to explain, the walk splits to the upper or lower path, I would advise you to take the upper path if possible even though the first slope looks hard work. This... More

I loved every moment of my time on this trail. I was only disappointed that we didn't have more time to spend there!

After doing some reading on hiking routes I have had this one on my hit list for some time. Finally I got to walk the Cahorros de Monachil and glad I did. I chose to start at El Puntarron restaurant ( there is a parking place just past the restaurant ). And set off from there, I decided on Cahorros... More

We visited Los Cahorros with our teenaged boys, who really were not very excited about going for a hike, But this is a hike like no other! First of all its not a difficult hike if you don't mind a bit of crawling, climbing or height on the rope bridges. In fact those things are exactly what made this hike... More

Lovely easy trek - take a bottle of water, good comfortable boots. Start via the river route and return via the road/farm route to see the views from both sides of Los Cahorros.

Do you like to crawl, it's for you. The children loved the walk along the water, but I had some difficultys with the narrow paths. We should have walked back the same way, but we got it wrong and took a much longer way high above the stream. It was a nice day out with the family after all.

A not to be missed walk in this marvellous area - if you can visit Sandra in the Tourist Office next to the Town Hall and Police Station in the Centre of the Village for maps and other information on gentler but equally fascinating walks.

We did not have enough time to experience real Sierra Nevada and decided to spend one day exploring Los Cahorros. And I must say it was totally worth it: we were very lucky to have warm sunny day and spend about 7 hours trying the route of los Cahorros. Despite the fact that it is quite easy the views you... This is a hidden gem for sure. We got the bus from Granada into a small village and walked to the route. The bus only comes every hour so be sure to time your hike around this. The walk itself is brilliant and easy for most people. The hanging bridges were my favourite and the gorge with the mini waterfall.... More
