We visited this spot during the day, by chance, as we were heading towards the MLK Jr. National Historic Site. I am surprised it is not as well-known or busy because it was an awesome find as we were able to get some great photos of Downtown Atlanta. If I could then I would have re-visited during the night/dusk but sadly I didn't get such an opportunity. The railings of the bridge are littered with stickers and tags but this makes it quite unique and adds to the photo opportunities. The view of downtown Atlanta is perfect and the bridge itself is easy to get find and in a relatively safe area.

Was travelling alone on business in Atlanta for first time (mid 40s male), and wanted to check this place out. I was staying in hotel downtown and thought it would be a nice walk in the afternoon. You have to walk out of downtown, under the wide freeway underpass and into the neighbourhood where the bridge is. For a newbie in town, the walk was okay and I felt pretty safe, but once you get to the underpass the foot traffic really starts to thin out and there aren't many people around (could be good or bad). But once there it's a great place to get that iconic photo. Took about 1hr 20 mins round trip. As with any big city, I probably wouldn't advise a lone female to walk it if new to the city. But if there are a couple of you and it's light outside, then you should be fine.

Looks like it has a great view, but unfortunately, the night we went, it was raining and pretty foggy, so that's one reason only 3 stars. It could never be higher than 4, though - it's just a view, and you only need a few minutes to take in all it offers. We'll try again. I must warn you, the area seems pretty sketch, and just as we drove up, and stopped, we could see there was some kind of police action a couple of blocks away (a couple of patrol cars with lights on).

One of the most beautiful views of the city you can see for free. Parking can be difficult but definitely worth it.

Until very recently I absolutely had no clue the bridge's connection the movie "The Walking Dead". I always considered it to be a bridge with a nice view of the Atlanta skyline and some of our friends took pictures from the car (going south), during the day as well as at night (when you can slow down) If you really want to take a great picture get off and park in one of the side streets and walk from there to the bridge (there's a sidewalk).

It's a bridge. It has a view. The view is probably famous because of the "Walking Dead". It's still a bridge. A bridge that people flock to and get pictures from and get pictures on. It's a bridge.

I woke up early just to check out this famous bridge. I wonder how busy it would've been if I came later. I like to come early to destinations to avoid people and the traffic. I know this location is very Instagram friendly and many people visit. Lots of photographers come here.

I mean, you gotta come visit to get the famous, maybe not famous, but definitely very iconic scene from The Walking Dead.

I think the view is great and I love it. There is parking not too far on the side of the street. It may be more beautiful at sunset but you would fight with people for parking and when to click your camera/phone.

If you can stop without causing an accident this IS THE BEST TO GET A PIC OF ATL. I heard there is parking near by but I didnt have time to find it. Stop by here to take a great picture of the skyline of ATL. Day or night. This is the location for the opening of the Walking Dead ,so my wife loved it.
