This was an interesting house to visit -- it was well laid out and nicely furnished, mostly with family furniture. We got lucky and attached ourselves to a good explanation of the house's history and the various rooms -- without that it would have been...More

I visited the House twenty years ago during the Christmas period and came away with a beautiful memory of splendid house. I just visited again and while the candlelight and holly was gone the house is still beautiful. I was able to walk through and...More

You need to try this place at least once in your life if you live in or are visiting Atlanta. The gift shop is fun, too. I do recommend reservations. If you are at the History Center already it's a no-brainer to eat here.

The house is gorgeous & authentically decorated. But what made it meaningful was the tour guide, playing the role of the architect, Phillip Shutze. (I believe his name was Jon G.). I have been on many historical house tours, but this gentleman brought it alive...More

We found the Swan House by going to the pre civil war house. We weren't aware of the other historical information and interesting places to see on the property. If you're a history buff, this is definitely the place to go!

The house was beautiful! I was able to take as many pictures as I liked. It was free to take a self guided tour. I would love to go back in the spring or summer to see the gardens.

No it is included in the price of admission for the Atlanta History Center which is wonderful. Maybe I'm a bit biased being that I am originally from Atlanta. Still it is a great place but if you go to the History Center... More
